Welcome to our technology corner! I'm super happy to be able to create this website for our technology resources.  This was one of my goals since I started working at Watts Learning Center.  I plan to add resources for students, teachers, parents and staff.  If there is something you would like to see at our please go to the CONTACT section and send me your comments.  I need your ideas too!Technology Corner

 

Now! let me tell you a little bit about me! I was born in El Salvador.  My mom decided that moving to California was a great idea when I was 11 years old.  I was an ESL student until I got to 11th grade.  I completed my high school and then decided to go to Long Beach Community College.  I graduated with an Associates Degree in Business Administration and second AA in Liberal Arts.  I transfered to Cal State University Long Beach (CSULB) where I got my Bachelors of Science Degree in Information Systems Business Administration.  

 

My work experience--> My first job was at Paseo del Rey Magnet School where I was a Bilingual TA.  I was very excited to help ESL students because I understand how difficult it was to be one of them.  I also worked for Beyond the Bell as their program supervisor for one of the before school programs at an elementary school located in Culver City.  later, I decided to apply to an internship at Paramount Pictures Studios.  I was an intern for two years working part time during spring and fall semester and full time during summer in different IT departments.  I had a lot of fun going around the lot helping people from the shows, finance, marketing and other departments.  As interns we were able to watch new movies and movies that were in production because they wanted the "intern's opinion" for marketing research.  It was awesome!

 

After graduating from CSULB I decided to apply to Watts Learning Center.  I like to work at WLC because I get to interact with different people; teachers, students, parents, staff, vendors, and service providers.  What makes me happy is to see teachers, students and our staff happy when their technology equiptment gets fix.  

 

My hobbies are candy making, crafts, photography and drink Starbucks!
